Technical matters

Most of the technical matters are dealt with separately by the CEETB members AIE and GCI-UICP. However, the European Union is increasingly using cross-cutting technical rules as well as system and service standards to complement legislation and regulate markets. This requires the CEETB to take action in this area, too.

The CEETB focuses its activities on the following topics:

Defending the interests of members in the standardisation process relating to energy efficiency and energy services;

Contributing to the drafting of the standards under the Energy performance of buildings directive;
Monitoring the standards development on the integrated environmental performance of buildings;
Participating in the development of eco-label criteria for heating equipment;

Recent position papers:

Participation in European advisory bodies:

  • Working group for the development of Eco-label criteria for heat pumps (DG Environment)
  • CEN/CLC Sector Forum Energy Management
  • CEN/CLC TF 189-2 on Energy Service Companies
  • CEN/CLC WG on green and white certificates
  • CEN/TC 156 and 228
